I think this is one of the coolest clock ever! At a glance you think that this is all a bunch of sticks on a canvas, but if you take your time and look closer you will see that this sticks actually moves to form a word and tell you the time.
The word “three” completely appears when it’s exactly 3 o’clock and will then transform again as time passes. The word “four” begins to appear and at exactly 4 o’clock the word “four” is clearly visible. The word “three” is by then totally vanished and no longer readable.
The design was come up by Christiaan Postma, it takes about 150 individual clock mechanism to power the 55 inch square timepiece. It is a wonderful masterpiece which I would like to have in my study room. At this moment there is no plans to mass produce this clock in the near future, so Postma is the only person that has this unique design. You can view how the clock run in fast forward time.
